The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient financial and administrative operation of the property under the direction of the Community Director.
Job responsibilities
- Operate as acting Community Director as needed when Community Director is unavailable.
- Assist the Community Director in interviewing, screening, and selecting potential team members for all positions.
- Assist the Community Director in orientation, training and scheduling of all office personnel.
- Assist with all property reporting.
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Assist with creative ideas on how to generate traffic and obtain resident retention.
- Lease apartments that are currently vacant or will be in the future.
- Secure lease renewals from existing residents.
- Balance all resident ledgers and reports.
- Verify status of vacant units to confirm that all units are ready to lease and inspect all pre-leased apartments prior to the resident’s scheduled move-in.
- Responsible for ensuring efficient and courteous response to all resident requests with follow-up calls and excellent customer service.
- Route any service requests needed to the maintenance team and monitor resident satisfaction in person or through follow-up calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. College degree, or some college preferred.
- 3 - 5 years' verifiable experience as Assistant Community Director
- Previous experience with Yardi Voyager including PayScan and RentCafe.
- Superior customer service and team building skills.
- Experience with property renovations.
- Proven ability to reduce delinquency.
- Ability to create and interpret Excel spreadsheets.
- Candidates with affordable housing experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently.
