Primary Purpose
Provide campus leadership in the coordination and implementation of student behavior support services and state- and federally mandated assessment programs.
This position is responsible for implementing the district behavior support program to improve behavioral and academic outcomes. This person is also responsible to ensure the secure, accurate, and compliant administration of state student assessments. The role supports students, families, and staff through data-driven decision-making, intervention planning, and program implementation to promote student success.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
- Degree in education, counseling, behavioral sciences, or related field (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of child development, including adolescent social-emotional and behavioral needs
- Knowledge of state testing programs, accountability systems, and federal program requirements
- Ability to manage student behavior and implement intervention strategies
- Knowledge of testing security procedures and data integrity requirements
- Ability to use student data systems and perform statistical analysis
- Ability to use a computer and software programs to collect, report, and present data
- Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain attention to detail
Experience
- Teaching experience and/or experience coordinating testing programs (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Behavior Program Leadership
- Implement a comprehensive campus behavior support program for students with behavioral challenges.
- Work directly and proactively with identified students to promote positive behavior and improve academic performance.
- Collaborate with families to support students’ general health, mental health, and wellness needs.
- Assist with crisis response and implement physical intervention strategies in accordance with district policy when necessary.
Testing Coordination
- Implement procedures to ensure security and confidentiality of state-mandated testing programs and other assessments.
- Direct and oversee test implementation and monitor testing activities to ensure procedures are followed, and deadlines are met.
- Consult with staff to provide appropriate testing accommodations for LEP students and students receiving special services.
- Identify, investigate, and address testing irregularities and report discrepancies as required.
- Maintain the integrity of testing data and ensure all materials and reports are submitted within established timelines.
- Track, monitor, and secure test materials throughout distribution, return, and storage processes.
- Compile, maintain, file, and secure all required testing documentation.
- Complete evaluation and compliance reports required by state and federal programs.
Data Analysis and Collaboration
- Work with instructional teams to analyze academic and behavioral data to develop student achievement goals and intervention plans.
- Use behavioral and assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies.
- Develop and deliver training for staff related to testing procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the principal to designate schedules and activities on campus.
- Direct the work of campus test administrators and others assigned to conduct assessments.
Equipment Used
Computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator, multi-line telephone system, and other standard office equipment.
