PBV is seeking candidates with 4-7 years of experience at a real estate investment, development, or capital markets brokerage firm and demonstrable skills in real estate acquisitions, financing, or asset management.

This role will be responsible for providing analytical support across all firmwide strategies and product types, including entitlement and ground up development, value add and repositioning, existing asset management, and core investments. The position will support both the Acquisitions and Development and Asset Management functions and will serve as a central analytical resource for underwriting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc strategic analysis across the Company’s portfolio and pipeline. Oversight and responsibility will vary depending on experience and seniority. Over time, the individual will have the opportunity to take on deeper responsibility within specific strategies or verticals, based on performance, interests, and the needs of the business.
Associate Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of detailed financial models to underwrite new acquisitions and investments across the risk spectrum, from core through opportunistic, and across multiple product types including residential and multifamily, office, R&D, life science, and mixed use.
- Collaborate with construction, architectural, engineering, legal, and other internal and external teams to develop detailed project budgets and long term cash flow projections.
- Lead preparation of confidential investment memoranda, business plans, and internal decision materials for new opportunities, and perform ad hoc financial and strategic analyses across acquisitions, developments, and existing assets.
- Coordinate and lead the collection and review of due diligence materials, including environmental, market, zoning, entitlement, and land use information, to evaluate site feasibility and investment risk, and synthesize key findings.
- Assist with and review the preparation of annual and monthly budgets, financial reporting, and cash flow analyses.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports for investors, lenders, tenants, and other stakeholders, and respond to ongoing investor and lender requests.
- Work closely with asset and property management and accounting teams to develop operating budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for project level and portfolio level financial activity.
- Prepare and submit construction draw requests, track project expenditures, and provide regular reporting and analysis to identify budget variances, projected capital needs, and funding requirements.
- Maintain and organize databases of limited partners, lenders, brokers, and other key relationships to support ongoing engagement, reporting, and transaction execution.
- Perform other analytical and strategic projects as required, and support transaction execution and asset management initiatives across the Company’s portfolio.
