Physical Therapy Technician/Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a supportive and therapeutic environment for individuals undergoing rehabilitation. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall physical health.

Duties
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, including setting up equipment and preparing treatment areas.
- Support patients during therapy sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing exercises or using equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area, including sanitizing equipment after each use.
- Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients on exercises and techniques to enhance their recovery process.
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, particularly in areas such as geriatrics, orthopedics, and acute care.

Experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience or familiarity with geriatrics, acute care, or orthopedics is a plus.
- Understanding of physiology and patient care principles to support effective rehabilitation practices.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service and foster a positive environment for recovery.
