We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs across outpatient, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other specialties.
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, exercise routines, manual therapy techniques, and modalities under supervision.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting care plans as directed by the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients on exercises, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment care to promote recovery and independence.
- Support discharge planning by providing patients with home exercise programs and safety instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes.
Experience
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques including manual therapy is essential.
- Familiarity with care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and post-surgical patients enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Proven ability to support discharge planning processes and coordinate with healthcare teams for seamless patient transitions.
