About the internship opportunity: POAH is seeking an IT Intern to join its IT Department for the spring (PT) and summer of 2024 (PT/FT). The POAH IT intern assists staff at all levels with a broad range of tasks as they plan, develop and operate day to day IT operations and projects. The position will include:
- Supporting the IT department in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support as needed
- Auditing various IT contracts and uploading them into our applications/databases
- Document standard operating procedures
- Develop end user self-help documents and other training materials
- Auditing of various other systems and platforms to ensure current and accurate information
- Assist with the standardization and streamlining of internal processes
- Poll and interact with end users to obtain data, feedback, and other input
Candidates should be an undergraduate in college focused on Computer Science or Information Technology. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows 11, Autopilot/Intune MDM, MS Office applications, Databases, Networking including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and IT Security. The position is part time during the spring and full time for ten weeks during the summer. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must as well as the ability to work well in a team as well as independently and a strong work ethic and attention to detail is desired.
