Preservation Management is currently looking for a live on-site, Part-Time After-Hours Maintenance Technician for our multi-unit residential property at Delaware Towers Apartments in Scranton, PA. This position is part-time.
The hours for this position vary based on need and include being available Monday thru Friday beginning at 4:30PM, anytime on holidays, weekends, or if day-time maintenance is out of the building.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a part-time position, with an hourly rate
This is a live on-site position, RENT FREE
Key Responsibilities:
Change batteries in smoke detectors or change the entire unit if necessary
Change light bulbs as needed leaving a note for daytime staff of what inventory was used
Walk premises for lighting issues and security
Take care of recycling daily and clean trash rooms as needed
Repair toilets (flappers/flow masters) in case of an emergency that cannot wait until the daytime maintenance tech(s) comes in
Remove clogs in toilets and drains in an emergency
Fix minor leaks during an emergency (toilet, tub, faucets, sinks, etc.)
Perform janitorial duties in laundry room, rest rooms and common areas of the building as needed
Water the outdoor flowers daily as needed
Snow removal and salting for emergency exits, entryways, sidewalks, etc. until regular maintenance reports for their shift
Maintain logbooks as needed
Open and close Laundry
Respond to lock-out calls
Job Requirements:
- Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED
- 1 years related property maintenance experience preferred
- Physical –
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Shovel or lift continuously for up to 4 hours at a time
- Work in tight spaces
- Work standing for up to 4 hours at a time
- Safely climb ladders up to 26ft
