Injection Molding Supervisor (3rd Shift)
Location: Hazelwood, MO (Greater St. Louis)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 10:45 PM – 7:30 AM (Weekend availability required)
Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour (Based on experience and night shift differential)

Job Summary:
Are you a creative problem-solver with a strong background in injection molding and a knack for leadership? PFI InStore is seeking an experienced and motivated Injection Molding Supervisor to join our third-shift team. This hands-on role involves overseeing all operations within our Injection Molding Department, including supervising and coordinating employees, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining our high standards for quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Ensure machine performance and output consistently meet specified standards and production schedules.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of operators, technicians, and other employees within the department.
- Resource Management: Prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor employee performance. Approve and monitor Paid Time Off (PTO) requests for direct reports.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records within the MRP system, managing inventory, labor, and production data.
- Quality Control: Take ownership of producing QC-approved parts, enforcing quality standards, and implementing corrective actions to eliminate defects.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Expertly process and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machinery, resolving issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance: Actively follow and enforce all safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring departmental compliance and fostering a safe working environment.
- Workplace Organization: Organize and maintain a clean and orderly department, promoting a culture of 5S and lean methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding, including technical processing and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude: A deep understanding of injection molding machinery, tools, and processes is essential.
- Leadership and Direction: Proven ability to effectively supervise, train, and motivate a production team.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities to address technical and quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Physical Stamina: The role requires frequent bending, squatting, lifting, and prolonged standing and walking in a manufacturing environment (approx. 90%).
- Adaptability: Must be comfortable transitioning between the manufacturing floor and an office environment (approx. 10%).
