Prescription Drug Store is looking for a dependable, friendly, and safety-conscious team member to join our locally owned community pharmacy as a cross-trained Pharmacy Front Clerk / Delivery Driver.
This is a unique position for someone who enjoys variety. Part of your shift will be spent helping patients and supporting the pharmacy team inside the store, while another part may be spent independently delivering prescriptions to patients in our community. The exact mix of duties may vary depending on staffing, patient needs, and delivery volume.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in being reliable, treats people well, pays attention to details, and can represent Prescription Drug Store professionally both inside the pharmacy and out in the community.
What You’ll Do
As a Front Clerk, you will:
- Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Answer phones and assist with routine patient needs
- Operate the cash register and assist with prescription pickup
- Confirm patient contact information
- Help keep prescription pickup, refrigerator, and work areas organized
- Assist with stocking, routine logs, cleaning, and other daily pharmacy-support duties
- Work closely with pharmacists, technicians, and other team members
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
As a Delivery Driver, you will:
- Review scheduled deliveries and routes before leaving the pharmacy
- Verify and securely transport sealed prescription packages
- Safely drive independently, including after dark when scheduled
- Follow pharmacy procedures for recipient verification, signatures/ID, privacy, and delivery documentation
- Collect approved patient payments when required
- Safely handle cash, checks, change, receipts, and pharmacy funds
- Return undeliverable prescriptions to the pharmacy
- Contact the pharmacy whenever a delivery situation appears unsafe or unclear
- Protect patient information and medications throughout the delivery process

Driving Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be legally able to operate a motor vehicle
- Be able to meet applicable pharmacy driving and vehicle-insurance requirements
- Be willing to drive independently, including after dark when scheduled
- Be comfortable transporting prescription medications and confidential patient information
- Be comfortable handling approved payments, receipts, change, and pharmacy funds
- Follow all pharmacy delivery, privacy, recipient-verification, safety, and money-handling procedures
- Be willing to provide required driving credentials and complete permitted job-related driving-record verification if selected
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $15.50/hour
