POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist provides operational and administrative HR support to Prescott HR's consulting team. This position is responsible for completing day-to-day HR tasks, preparing client deliverables, managing administrative projects, conducting HR research, and assisting consultants with client work.
This role has limited direct client interaction. Most work is completed in partnership with Prescott HR consultants, allowing them to focus on strategic advising and complex employee relations matters. The HR Generalist may independently manage smaller project-based clients or assignments that do not require strategic consulting or advanced employment law expertise.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in human resources, enjoys variety, is exceptionally organized, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced consulting environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Consultant Support
- Partner with Prescott HR consultants to provide operational support across multiple client engagements.
- Draft employee handbooks, policies, forms, offer letters, job descriptions, employee communications, and other HR documents.
- Prepare client deliverables, reports, presentations, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct HR and employment law research to support consultant recommendations.
- Complete HR audits and assist with audit reports and action plans.
- Assist with HRIS implementations, system setup, testing, and data entry.
- Support compensation projects by gathering and organizing data.
- Track project timelines, deadlines, and consultant action items.
- Maintain client files and documentation.
- Assist consultants with onboarding new clients and transitioning existing clients.
HR Administration
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Support recruiting efforts, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and preparing offer documentation.
- Assist with leave administration and benefits administration.
- Process employment changes and maintain HR records.
- Coordinate compliance documentation, including I-9s, personnel files, required postings, and policy acknowledgments.
- Prepare routine HR correspondence and documentation.
- Maintain templates and internal HR resources.
Project Work
- Independently manage smaller HR projects and project-based clients that require general HR knowledge but not strategic consulting.
- Respond to routine HR questions within established guidelines.
- Escalate complex employee relations, legal, compliance, or strategic matters to a Managing HR Consultant or Senior HR Consultant.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Experience supporting multiple organizations or business units.
- Three to five years of progressive HR experience.
- Strong working knowledge of: recruiting and onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, benefits and leave administration, performance management processes, HR compliance fundamentals, and HR documentation and recordkeeping.
- Comfortable using AI tools to streamline HR documentation, research, and administrative work.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience in an HR consulting or professional services environment.
