Summary :
We are seeking a detail-orientedIT Risk and Controls Auditorto join our team. This remote role, open to candidates based in Idaho, involves conducting independent IT risk assessments and audits to evaluate internal controls, IT infrastructure, and business processes. The auditor will assess the design and effectiveness of controls, identify operational efficiencies, and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and enhance compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate audit findings effectively, and a proactive approach to staying informed on evolving regulations and technologies.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities :
Conduct external and independent IT risk assessment and controls audit by understanding business objectives, internal controls, enabling technology, and IT infrastructurePerform audit work over various technologies utilized by the company and various IT functions. Assess both the design and operating effectiveness of internal controlsPrioritize and assist in scheduling audit tests to be performed, and interact with auditees to obtain the necessary informationContribute to identification of department operational efficiencies and changes in auditing operationsEvaluate controls designed to prevent or detect fraud, including management override of controlsPrepare and present findings as neededCommunicate audit results and recommendations both orally and in writing to the managementSchedule and conduct presentations at meetings with auditsand management as neededParticipate in audit teams and department committeesAcquire additional knowledge of regulations and emerging technologiesAll other duties as assignedWork Skills and Qualifications :
2 years of experience in information systems administration or IT support desk or cyber security graduateAbility to travel as neededExcellent analytical skills and organizational skillsAbility to resolve client related problems and make decisions collaborativelyExcellent verbal and written communicationsSkilled in operating pc and various software packages (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel,)Education, Credentials,and Experience :
Bachelors degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.CISA, Security CIA or any other cyber security related certification is plusKnowledge or training on AWS, azure or GCP is a huge plusKnowledge of SOC 2 / ISO / PCI / HITRUST / NIST standards is plusKnowledge of offensive or defensive security is plusNOTE : This job description is not intended to be all- inclusive.Employeemay perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
