Prescient Edge is seeking an Electronics Technician to support advanced U.S. Navy prototype development, integration, testing, and evaluation efforts in Panama City, Florida.
The selected candidate will provide hands-on technical support for electronic systems, embedded hardware, prototype development, troubleshooting, integration, and testing activities supporting naval and maritime systems.

Prescient Edge is seeking an Electronics Technician to support advanced U.S. Navy prototype development, integration, testing, and evaluation efforts in Panama City, Florida.
The selected candidate will provide hands-on technical support for electronic systems, embedded hardware, prototype development, troubleshooting, integration, and testing activities supporting naval and maritime systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronics, embedded systems, hardware integration, and laboratory testing within a defense or engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design, assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of electronic and embedded systems.
- Assist with hardware architecture implementation, sensor integration, and power management systems.
- Develop and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Support PCB assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and hardware validation activities.
- Perform prototype bring-up, system integration, and technical evaluations.
- Conduct laboratory testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, power supplies, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures to the component level and implement corrective actions.
- Support embedded microcontroller integration and testing activities.
- Assist with development of technical documentation, test reports, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
- Support field testing, demonstrations, and customer evaluation events.
- Maintain engineering records, configuration documentation, and bills of material.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting electronic systems, hardware integration, testing, or prototype development.
- Experience with digital and analog electronics.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller-based platforms.
- Experience using standard electronics laboratory equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience supporting NAVSEA, NSWC, PMS 406, PMS 420, or Navy maritime systems programs.
- Experience with PCB design and schematic development tools.
- Experience with embedded programming using C/C .
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, and USB.
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting fiber optic systems.
- Experience supporting prototype development, testing, and evaluation activities.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Panama City Beach, FL.
- Occasional travel may be required to support testing, demonstrations, and customer events.
- Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility.
