In-Home Preschool Educator - Jackson, Missouri
Position: Private In-Home Preschool Teacher for 3-Year-Old Child
Location: Jackson, MO (in our home)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4-6 hours daily (flexible start time)
Compensation: Negotiable and commensurate with experience
About the Position: We are seeking a dedicated, qualified educator to provide daily one-on-one preschool instruction for our 3-year-old child in our home. This is a consistent, long-term position for someone passionate about early childhood education who wants to make a meaningful impact on a child's developmental foundation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a comprehensive daily preschool curriculum covering early literacy, math concepts, science exploration, social studies, and creative arts
- Create structured learning routines while incorporating play-based learning activities
- Foster social-emotional development, independence, and school readiness skills
- Develop fine and gross motor skills through hands-on activities and outdoor play
- Track developmental milestones and provide regular progress updates to parents
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching preschool-aged children (2-4 years old)
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication skills with both children and parents
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Clean background check required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or early childhood credentials
- Knowledge of early learning frameworks (e.g., Creative Curriculum, High Scope)
