Medical Records Technician/Central Supply Clerk
$20.50 - $22.50 / Hour
Full-Time
The Medical Records Technician is responsible maintaining resident medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in Medical Records management required
- Working knowledge of medical terminology required
- Previous purchasing experience preferred
- Compiles, inputs and maintains resident clinical records from admission to discharge for all residents of the community.
- Participates in and provides medical record information for resident care related committees.
- Prepares medical record or insurance related correspondence as directed.
- Maintains current physician credential file.
- Assists clinical areas to complete transfer forms, assists in scheduling appointments, transportation and/or testing for residents.
- Manages the inventory levels for medical supplies to maintain adequate levels for all community service areas.
- Purchases medical supplies; ensures proper recording of supplies that are shipped, received, or transported internally from or into the central supply room.
- Completes and documents a monthly inventory of all medical supplies.
- Coordinates and prepares packages to be shipped via carriers for team members and residents; receives packages and ensures proper delivery.
- Actively participates in the community Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Program.
