Junior Cash Specialist

The Junior Cash Specialist is responsible for assisting with various Accounts Receivable functions. These may include: scanning, mail, filing and other general office duties.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of accounting principles preferred
• Prior experience handling cash preferred
• Work experience in accounting setting preferred
• Ability to follow instructions provided by supervisor
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to provide excellent customer support
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload
• Limited travel may be required

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Sort and prepare hard copy records for scanning (including checks and health care remittances).
• Scan hardcopy files to electronic images.
• Follow production procedures and complete internal documentation and tracking.
• Facilitates deposits of cash and/or checks into the appropriate bank account, may require limited travel to financial institutions.
• Responsible for the safeguard of cash and/or checks not yet deposited.
• Accepts and completes accounts receivable-related tasks as assigned; this may include: assisting with posting cash receipts, retrieving and posting payments from third parties, preparing Medicare Bad Deb Logs, report preparation and other special project assignments.
• Responsible for general office functions; this may include: sorting mail, filing, preparing and mailing letters, making copies (electronic and/or paper) of documents, etc.
• May assist with researching and resolving outstanding account balances.
• Provides collection-related assistance to Presbyterian Senior Living staff, as requested.
• May assist with follow up procedures related to unpaid claims or balances.
• Provide support to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor – Cash and or Accounts Receivable Manager – Third Party Account on projects or tasks as requested.

Salary : $31,285 - $41,722
