Overview:
The Shipping Associate’s primary responsibilities are to coordinate, perform, document, and track product and information in the shipping and receiving warehouse area to enhance productivity, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the shipping and receiving warehouse area is operated and maintained according to procedures.
- Ensure domestic and international shipments are promptly, cost effectively, and accurately processed according to procedure.
- Ensure goods are promptly and accurately received according to procedures.
- Track shipments and report status to Customer Care in a timely manner.
- Verify all goods and information received against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Follow standard operating procedures for notifying management, quality control, and/or Customer Care of discrepancies by the next business day.
- Ensure the quality of packaged shipments.
- Maintain accurate records and present timely communications to operations team.
- Establish and maintain warehouse stocking locations in the system to enable full MRP utilization.
- Maintain accurate inventory - location, count, transaction, cycle counting, excess and obsolete, red tag inventory, etc.
- Ensure that all forklift drivers are properly trained, certified, and operating forklifts according to procedures.
- Manage recycling program to ensure that all waste streams are clearly identified and disposed of in the most environmentally friendly manner possible.
- Accurately perform inventory transactions to move inventory from location to location within the warehouse.
- Ensure that min/max inventory levels are maintained to eliminate shortages.
- Maintain a receiving inspection process to ensure that only quality material is processed into our facility.
- Maintain 5S (7S with Safety and Employee Spirit) in the warehouse area.
- Immediately report any safety or quality issues to the Supervisor.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Job scanning accuracy.
- Hands-on back-up for Warehouse Material Handlers.

Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with shipping and receiving - including international
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 years of ERP/MRP experience preferred
- Certified to operate a forklift or able to become certified upon hiring
- Familiarity with scanning guns preferred
- Must be available to work overtime as business needs require
- English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking required. Bilingual Spanish in reading, writing and speaking a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel
Physical Requirements:
- Inside warehouse work, with no exposure to weather conditions.
- Remains standing for approximately 100% of the time.
- Frequently walking.
- Frequently lifting up to 75lbs.
- Occasional bending to perform various tasks.
- Frequently operating a computer and other office equipment, such as telephone, calculator, scanner, and computer printer.
- Continually communicating – oral, listening, and writing skills required.
- Repetitive movement of hands and fingers – typing and writing.
- Continually using close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
