We care for a wonderful variety of pets—including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and even pot-belly pigs (please note: we do not board reptiles). We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated team player who takes pride in their work and enjoys keeping the daily routine running smoothly.
What You'll Do Every Day
- Daily Pet Care: Ensure all pets are fed, watered, and exercised accurately according to their customized daily schedules.
- Bathing & Spa Services: Provide excellent care by performing basic dog baths, blow dry, and nail trims across a variety of breeds.
- Facility Care: Take pride in maintaining a sparkling clean environment by thoroughly sanitizing dog kennels, cat condos, and small animal enclosures.
- Health & Happiness: Monitor the eating habits, behavior, and bathroom routines of the pets, promptly reporting any signs of stress or illness to the management team.
- Safe Handling: Safely and gently move a variety of pets between their enclosures, play areas, and the lobby.
- Guest Relations: Occasionally assist at the front desk by warmly greeting clients, checking pets in and out, and answering basic phone inquiries.
What We’re Looking For
- Reliability: You are punctual, dependable, and comfortable managing your daily tasks independently.
- Animal Lovers: You are comfortable, confident, and patient when handling a diverse variety of pet species (dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals).
- Bathing Experience: You have prior experience (and confidence!) in bathing dogs and trimming nails.
- Background: Previous experience in a boarding facility, daycare or animal shelter capacity is highly preferred.
- Behavior & Health Awareness: You can read animal body language to anticipate behavioral issues and are quick to notice any signs of sickness, stress, or discomfort.
