DEPARTMENT: Prep Baseball Retail Sales
LOCATION: River Run Park; Newport, AL
JOB TYPE: Part-time, Non-exempt

Position Summary and Attributes:
Well-organized, self-motivated, team player who enjoys assisting guests. An outgoing personality is paramount while providing the ultimate guest experience.This position will provide customer service and knowledge of Prep Baseball apparel to guests while on the sales floor and at the cash register. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The primary tasks of this individual will be:
Provide an excellent guest experience by acknowledging and engaging guests in a respectful and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Greet every guest upon arrival into the store.
- Show respect to fellow employees at all times while maintaining a teamwork atmosphere.
- Assist guests at the cash register in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Ensure pricing is correct. Notify Team Lead of any discrepancies.
- Ensure store displays are maintained while complying with image and quality standards.
- Ensure merchandise is clean and neatly displayed.
- Maintain inventory by ensuring items are in stock by following the restock schedule..
- Maintain store's cleanliness and health and safety measures.
- Maintain store organization.
- Attend staff meetings if scheduled.
- Handle customer questions and concerns while maintaining a professional demeanor, escalating all complaints to the Team Lead..
- Provide Team Lead with on-going updates concerning customer feedback on products, designs, and/or service.
- Complete opening/closing procedures.
- Complete your on the job training in a timely manner.
- Complete all daily tasks as assigned by upper management.
- Report any known loss and/or damage of the product to the Retail Sales Supervisor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Familiarize oneself with new product assortments and inventory levels in order to properly communicate with guests.
Basic Qualifications and Experiences:
- Minimum 6 months retail sales experience or service industry experience preferred.
- Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to follow all policies and procedures
- Excellent mathematical, multitasking, and computer skills
Work Environment: The work environment characteristic for this position is a retail store and/or kiosk, as well as a storage facility.
Work Hours: Regular attendance is a necessary job function required for this position. Weekend work will be required.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle and operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
