Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary students (Grades K–5)
- Support foundational skills in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and other elementary subjects
- Assist students with homework completion, study habits, and organizational skills
- Develop individualized learning plans based on student needs and goals
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families
- Create a positive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment
- Travel to students' homes throughout Upper Manhattan and/or The Bronx
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or teaching certification preferred
- Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of elementary curriculum and instructional strategies
- Ability to engage young learners and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring assignments

Requirements
Qualified applicants will hold a bachelor's degree and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold a valid New York State teaching certificate (or equivalent)
- Are currently completing a teacher education program and pursuing certification
- Have two or more years of classroom teaching experience in a public, private, or charter school
- Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university
- Are a Master's or PhD student with teaching assistant experience at an accredited U.S. college or university
- Have significant experience tutoring elementary-aged students and demonstrated success supporting academic growth
