Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. At Premonition Health we employ a novel approach to primary care, hybridizing principles of direct primary care with insurance. Our goal is to provide concierge-level care to patients who generally could never afford it (including those without insurance) and we are building a medical home with in-house labs, pharmacy, imaging and mental health services to support our primary care team.
The ideal candidate will provide excellent front-line patient support and assistance in our primary care clinic. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to assist with both administrative and clinical tasks, and a compassionate approach to patient care. The ideal candidate will help ensure smooth clinic operations while creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls efficiently.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the clinic calendar.
- Verify insurance information and assist with insurance verification processes.
- Collect payments and assist with billing tasks, when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in EMR system (Tebra).
- Assist with intake procedures for new patients and maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient service and support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred (Not required).
- CNA or Medical Assistant Certification is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred, but not required.
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Being a team player: In a small clinic we often have job overlap, and we need people who are willing to help out with tasks that may not normally be in their job description when other team members are task saturated (checking patients in, running labs, filling meds etc). We only work 40 hours a week, but it can get intense during the work day.
