What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Associate/Real Estate & Fund position at Premium Property Trust?
PPT Real Estate is a sister company of Christopher Architecture & Interiors (CAI). You'll work out of CAI's Highland Ave office, side by side with its architects and designers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. You will support our quickly expanding business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, and expenses and updating our accounting database. This position will allow you to grow your accounting knowledge and experience.
The Accounting Associate will work collaboratively with the teams of PPT Real Estate (real estate fund advisors), PPT Partners (real estate fund), and Premium Property Management (property management company).
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice verification, approval, and payment
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, payment processing, and customer communication
- Manage Company Credit Cards, including collecting receipts from staff and ensure proper coding of expenses
- Prepare quarterly distributions for the real estate fund
- Other Duties, including but not limited to:
- Deposit checks weekly
- Reconcile accounts and reports as needed
- Process journal entries and adjustments in accounting system
- Perform administrative support functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study
- 1-3 years of experience working in accounting preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Preferred experience with Buildium, Quickbooks, and MS Excel
