Testing Technician (Medium & High Voltage)

Premium Power Services, LLC provides electrical apparatus testing and field services to the utility, industrial, commercial and institutional markets. These services include the following:

• Motor Testing

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

• Provides testing services to commercial and industrial customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
• Understands and follows proper safety and temporary grounding procedures.
• Provides written field service reports to customers at the completion of all services.
• Reads and interprets electrical distribution system drawings, including single lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and plans views.
• Basic working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, ANSI/IEEE standards, and NETA and NICET requirements.
• Interacts personally with customers to promote a quality image and good business relationships.
• Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of conduct and appearance so as to reflect positively on the company image.
• Repairs or replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts, as required to bring the electrical equipment up to specifications.
• Responsible for company-owned equipment and vehicle.
• Maintains contact via cell phone for emergency response to customer needs.
• Gathers information and pricing to generate proposals for repair projects.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of both AC and DC circuits.
• Familiar with the use of Lock Out/Tag Out.
• Be able to read single line diagrams and schematics.
• Must be able to write clear technical reports with test data and results.
• Have good communication skills.
• Must be capable of achieving NICET (National Institute for Certifications in Electrical Technologies) certification.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $45.00 per hour
