Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches for dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures
- Restrain pets appropriately using animal restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area in compliance with health standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions
- Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or administering medications as needed
- Manage appointment scheduling and ensure timely service delivery
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally
- Maintain detailed records of grooming services provided and any special instructions for each pet
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming (at least 3 years)
- Knowledge of dog training techniques related to animal handling is desirable
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work safely around animals of various temperaments and sizes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs)
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their well-being
