What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Ready Operator (C-Shift 6:45PM to 7:00AM) position at PREMIUM PEANUT, LLC?

Pay Rate: Min $14.50 to Max $20.50

Summary: Runs graded peanuts through the Bar Ready system to ensure the highest quality product. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Follows all GMPs and 5S SOPs. 
  • Tests product to ensure quality parameters are met.  
  • Works directly with production and shipping to ensure all customer specifications are met.
  •  Is responsible for making sure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned per OEM requirements to minimize downtime. 
  • Communicates with Maintenance Team Leads about any problems with the equipment to ensure maintenance is performed correctly.
  • Runs the Bar Ready line
  • Performs sanitation and maintenance on equipment and surrounding areas.
  • Observes operation to detect malfunctions of equipment.
  • Stops process and reports malfunction to supervisor.
  • Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening chutes, setting guides, or clearing away spilled product or damaged bags.
  • Focuses on food safety responsibilities.
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by the Shift Supervisor..

Education and/or Experience                                                                                                   

 

High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                                                                                                        

 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                                                                                 

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                                                                                     

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

This position is located in a peanut processing facility where constant exposure to peanut dust and particles is unavoidable. Due to the nature of the work environment, we may be unable to provide a reasonable accommodation for individuals with severe peanut allergies.

Additionally, this role requires working at elevated heights, including climbing ladders and platforms up to 60 feet. Individuals with a significant fear of heights or related conditions may find this aspect of the job challenging.
