The Quality Control Assistant I works with the Quality Control Administrator in a part-time capacity of approximately 25 hours per week to help oversee and implement quality assurance through the company. The Quality Control Assistant provides support with regulatory compliance matters. The position is responsible for retrieving various loan-related files on a scheduled basis, assisting with Collateral Risk Assessment (CRA) testing, verifying audit selections, and providing general administrative support.
Job Duties:
The Quality Control Assistant will be responsible for completing the following job duties.
- Pull Pre-Funding files daily to support quality control processes.
- Retrieve adversed files on a monthly schedule for review and analysis.
- Pull servicing files monthly to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Retrieve EPD (Early Payment Default) files monthly for auditing purposes.
- Select and gather all necessary supporting documentation for monthly auditing of QC vendor.
- Perform monthly CRA (Collateral Risk Assessment) testing in accordance with PMC procedures.
- Provide general support to the Quality Control (QC) Department with various tasks as needed.
- Manage the auto-assigning of audit files and tasks within the system.
- Upload documentation and reports to LoanCare on a regular basis.
- Assist the Post-Closing Assistant with MERS reconciliation activities, as necessary.
- Support the Post-Closing Department by performing additional tasks upon request.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are required of the Quality Control Assistant I:
Education:
- A high school diploma with four years related experience and/or training. A combination of equivalent education and experience is acceptable.
Experience:
- Previous experience in the mortgage industry with understanding of loan origination and quality control is preferred.

The starting base salary range for this position is $19.75 - $20.70, hourly. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside the provided range.
