Responsibilities
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues.
- Conduct field service visits to property sites to address service requests promptly and efficiently.
- Repair appliances and mechanical systems such as HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems.
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for mechanical repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules.
- Support property maintenance by performing routine checks on mechanical components and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields; construction background is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—particularly ammonia refrigeration—and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair procedures.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field testing instruments confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
driver certification preferred. - Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to property maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R standards, safety protocols, and electrical systems is essential; mechanic experience is highly valued.
