You’ll partner closely with field supervisors, project managers, and technical teams to maintain compliance, strengthen execution, and drive continuous improvement across multiple active job sites.
What You’ll Do – Build Quality. Protect People. Develop Talent.
- Champion Quality Assurance
- Perform daily inspections of structured cabling, pathways, grounding, containment, and equipment installations to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and BICSI/industry standards.
- Manage QA/QC documentation, including checklists, punch lists, test result collection (Fluke/OTDR), and closeout packages.
- Track and report quality metrics, identify deficiencies, and collaborate with site leadership to ensure timely resolution.
- Support the Doc Control team by reviewing and archiving electronic test results and project quality records.
- Own Safety Compliance
- Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks to embed a proactive safety culture.
- Perform regular safety walks to verify adherence to OSHA standards, client safety policies, and company procedures.
- Monitor PPE usage, equipment certifications, and safe work practices to prevent incidents.
- Document and support investigations of near misses, incidents, and safety observations, driving corrective actions to completion.
- Maintain site safety documentation including permits, inspection logs, and compliance reports.
- Drive Workforce Training
- Coordinate and track onboarding for new hires, ensuring completion of safety orientation and site-specific training.
- Schedule and support delivery of technical training (e.g., BICSI certification, Fluke/Viavi testing, OEM product training).
- Maintain a comprehensive training matrix and track certification renewals.
- Deliver refresher sessions on QA/QC standards, company processes, and safety best practices.
- Partner with leadership to build a “right the first time” mindset and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in construction, telecommunications, or data center environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, quality control principles, and construction methodologies.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with field teams, supervisors, and client representatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to quickly learn QA/QC and safety software systems.
Preferred:
- OSHA 30 certification.
- BICSI Installer I/II or equivalent low-voltage systems background.
- Experience with Fluke/Viavi test equipment and interpreting/documenting results.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience coordinating training programs and maintaining personnel certification records.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Active data center construction and operational environments, including indoor and outdoor exposure.
- Frequent walking of job sites, ladder climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, vest, gloves, boots, and hearing protection as needed.
- Occasional travel between regional sites.
