We currently have a career opportunity for a Part-time Teller to join our team at our Whitewater location.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Teller is instrumental in creating positive first impressions and building strong customer relationships. As a frontline representative of PremierBank, this position focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience through friendly, accurate, and efficient service. Tellers assist customers with everyday banking transactions while helping safeguard customer accounts and bank assets through adherence to policies, procedures, and security standards. PremierBank offers a progressive Teller career path with opportunities to expand responsibilities over time.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Exhibit superior customer service, including smiling and greeting all customers upon entering the lobby and drive thru
- Demonstrate a friendly, professional appearance and demeanor
- Accurately process basic banking transactions including verification of checks and cash for deposit, accepting loan payments, and withdrawal transactions
- Maintain and balance a cash drawer accurately
- Promptly and professionally handles routine customer questions both in person and on the phone
- Properly identifies customers prior to processing transactions or releasing any banking information
- Understand and effectively communicates PremierBank’s products and services
- Maintain an awareness of fraud trends and asks appropriate questions to help protect customers and the bank from scams or loss
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of previous customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in the banking industry preferred but not required. Ability to complete and maintain all required training in accordance with organizational, County, State, and Federal regulations.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English. Bilingual skills in Spanish a plus.
- Prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner. Ability to gather and analyze information.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs.
- Occasional driving may be required to float between branches where coverage is needed and for training purposes.
- Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
