Job Description
This position involves covering and securing loaded flatbed trailers with tarps and required straps prior to transport. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing a large sheet of plastic over the loaded materials before covering them with tarps in order to protect the load from the weather and dirt.
The position requires working indoors, outdoors, and in varying temperatures depending on the current weather conditions. Pushing, pulling, and lifting of tarps and other materials up to 50 lbs may be required on occasion.
The ideal candidate will be able and willing to work as part of a team, but also as a self-motivated individual. They will be responsible for:
- Involving covering loaded 45-53 ft flatbed trailers with tarps and securing the load and tarps with bungee cords and 4 inch straps per customer, company, and DOT standards.
- Performing physical duties that require working indoors and outdoors and in all types of weather.
A permanent position is available, which may require overtime work. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times, including hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe footwear, safety green uniform shirt, and hearing protection.
