What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Trucks Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic position at Premier Voltage Inc?
RESPONSIBILITIES
The mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of equipment including:
- Bucket trucks
- Digger derricks
- Freightliner and other medium/heavy-duty trucks
- Pickup trucks
- Trailers
- Backyard machines and track equipment
- Skid steers and other construction equipment
- Hydraulic systems and components
- Diesel engines and related systents
- Electrical and air brake systems
- General fleet and equipment repairs
Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, completing repairs efficiently, maintaining service records, and helping ensure our fleet is ready for everyday projects and storm response.
& WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic experience
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulic systems strongly preferred
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently
- Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
- CDL is required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be dependable, organized, and safety-minded
- Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs
- Willingness to work additional hours when necessary to support operations and storm response
- Must have your own hand tools
- Be willing to work on the road and in the shop
EXPERIENCE WORKING ON UTILITY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT, BUCKET TRUCKS, OR DIGGER DERRICKS IS A MAJOR PLUS
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
