What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Safety Manager position at PREMIER UNDERGROUND CONSTRUCTION LLC?
The key function of a Field Safety Manager is to put Safety at the forefront of their job, makes the client’s needs priority, works well in a team setting, is self-managed, and is flexible when it comes to change. Will be visiting job sites in an outdoor environment, providing safety guidance to field workers. Be part of the Compliance Department implementing and overseeing the safety program including the development of site safety policies and procedures. Will assist in determining the cause of unsafe conditions and injury claims through procedure, equipment, and facilities inspection and worker observation. Training
- Coordinate monthly Safety meetings
- Provide support during OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 trainings
- Conduct Toolbox talks as needed
- Will assist with the training and development of Site Safety Representatives.
Safety
- Supervise Site Safety Representatives and/or Sr. Site Safety Representatives
- Advise the Risk Manager regarding safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of field employees, as well as regulatory compliance as mandated by local, state, and federal agencies
- Conduct daily Site Safety audits and submit report of site visit with findings
- Coordinate Site Safety Representative site audit schedules.
- Perform hazard analyses and recommends mitigation procedures for the company
- Respond to emergency situations involving job site incidents, near misses, car accidents, equipment theft or equipment damage; prepares reports of findings and submits recommendations to Risk Manager
- Conduct Investigation for incidents (injury, accident, equipment theft, equipment damage, near-miss and line strike)
- Enforce safety policies and procedures as required by OSHA law and Company Policies
- Perform periodic evaluations of tools and equipment
- Ensure that safety meetings (toolbox talks) are taking place
- Promoting safe work practices
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Experience preferred in the following area
- Experience with construction safety
- Knowledge of construction

Deliverables
- Site safety audits [individual and from safety team] – Daily
- Incident Reports – As needed
- Notification to Risk Mgr of essential incident information – As needed – Same day
- Safety Training – Monthly and as scheduled on the projects
- OSHA course training – As scheduled
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of interpreting and complying with OSHA as well as best practices in construction safety
- 1 years of relevant safety experience working on construction projects
- OSHA 30 in construction or higher OSHA certification. OSHA 500 Preferred
- First aid/CPR certification (not required but a plus)
- Must have a valid driver’s license

Salary : $88,200 - $106,800
