General Laborer

Summary

We are looking for a General Laborer who will support production by performing tasks like loading and unloading materials, operating basic machinery, assembling products, maintaining a clean, safe work environment, requiring physical stamina, ability to follow instructions, and teamwork to keep operations running efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Keep work areas clean and organized, and take proper care of all equipment and facilities

Qualifications:

• Experience with power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Basic automotive and mechanical skills
• Experience with trailer mechanic repairs is a plus.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary work
• Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting
• Mix paints and other materials
• Appy coast of paint, varnish, sealer, and other finishes to trailers
• Inspect and evaluate finished products
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
• Calibrate and maintain painting equipment
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
• Keep work areas clean and organized, and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
• Follow safety rules and quality standards
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Follow verbal and written instructions

Physical requirements include the ability to:

• Less than 10% of work is accomplished indoors in well-ventilated facility.
• Greater than 90% of work is accomplished in a Warehouse shop facility.
• Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand wrist motion, and legs, and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, standing for long periods of time, and handling materials.
• Required to wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• May be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
• May be asked to lift and carry up to 40- 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.90 - $19.00 per hour
