Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues to determine the most effective repair or maintenance solution.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations.
- Collaborate with other team members, including apprentices and contractors, to complete projects within established deadlines.
- Ensure that all work is performed safely, following best practices for electrical safety and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify and rectify potential electrical hazards or inefficiencies.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in electrical technology.
- Assist in estimating project costs and materials needed for new installations or renovations.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices as needed to help them develop their skills.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Colorado.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Proficient knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
