Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Superintendent to oversee and manage steel erection activities on construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in structural steel construction, leading field crews, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with project managers to maintain schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of structural steel installation and erection.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and ironworkers to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee site logistics, ordering equipment and sequence of installation
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA standards to maintain a safe job site.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor and report progress, resolving issues that may impact schedule or budget.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and erection plans.
- Assist in field measuring steel scope.
- Maintain quality control standards and conduct inspections to ensure precision and structural integrity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural steel erection and supervision.
- Proven leadership experience managing crews and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety protocols.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with cranes, rigging, welding, and bolting procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
- Bilingual preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and Rigging/Signalman.
- Experience with project management software and reporting tools. (Microsoft Outlook, Procore, Tekla EPM Go)
- Previous experience working on large commercial, and retrofit projects.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on experience. ($90,000 - $130,000)
