Manufacturing Engineering Role
Hands-on manufacturing engineering position focused on improving equipment reliability, process efficiency, safety, and production performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement initiatives
- Identify and implement equipment, process, and technology improvements
- Develop and support capital projects for equipment upgrades
- Improve equipment reliability through maintenance and refurbishment strategies
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment
- Design fixtures, tooling, and process improvements
- Apply Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies (5S, 5 Whys, A3)
- Analyze manufacturing data to drive performance improvements
- Train and mentor production and maintenance personnel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical preferred)
Core Skills & Experience
- 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal fabrication and process improvement
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment (CNC, welding, machining, fabrication systems, etc.)
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- CAD proficiency (2D/3D) and understanding of GD&T
- Experience with automation, controls, and modern manufacturing technologies
- Familiarity with CMMS and reliability improvement programs
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
