Sr Manager of Network Engineering (Hybrid)
Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Network Engineering leads the strategy and day-to-day operations of an enterprise network environment. This role manages network leaders and engineers to deliver a secure, scalable, and high-performing network that supports business growth and operational resilience. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with strong people leadership and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise network strategy, roadmap, and standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop distributed and hybrid network teams
- Ensure network availability, performance, security, and compliance
- Partner with Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Oversee network project intake, prioritization, resource planning, and budgets
- Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Present network strategies and key initiatives to senior leadership
- Monitor industry trends to guide network modernization efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 10 years of network engineering experience, including 5 years in leadership
- Experience managing enterprise networks across LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and cloud
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
- Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills
Must-Have Skills
Technical:
- Enterprise routing and switching (Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent)
- Wireless networking (Aruba, Meraki, or similar)
- SD-WAN and hybrid cloud networking (AWS/Azure connectivity)
- Network security technologies (firewalls, VPN, NAC, Zero Trust concepts)
- Network monitoring and observability tools (SolarWinds, Datadog, Splunk)
- Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code fundamentals (Python, Terraform)
Leadership:
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing, distributed teams
- Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities
- Budget, vendor, and portfolio management experience
