Advanced Security Officer

Job Description

Premier Security is currently seeking qualified Security Officers to join our team at a local non-profit detox and sobering center in Eugene, Oregon. We have a full-time opening available.

Position Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of professional security experience
• Ability to obtain an Oregon DPSST Unarmed Professional Security License
• Ability to pass a drug screening (including marijuana)

Site Overview:

This facility operates 24/7 and provides services to individuals undergoing detox and sobering. Patients may display unpredictable behavior, and it is essential that officers maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment for both staff and clients. The majority of individuals on site are there voluntarily, and interactions must reflect professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting external foot patrols of the property
• Guiding potential patients to the appropriate intake areas
• Assisting staff with de-escalation efforts when needed
• Trespassing unauthorized individuals
• Providing a presence during certain patient discharges

Qualifications:

Candidates must have at least one year of security experience and be capable of standing or walking for extended periods. Officers may occasionally be required to assist staff in physically restraining a patient. This position is ideal for individuals who are composed under pressure, effective in interpersonal communication, and committed to supporting vulnerable populations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.75 per hour
