What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Restoration Technician position at Premier Rustproofing and Rust repair?
At Premier Restoration, we're not looking for someone who just wants a paycheck. We're looking for a first-class Auto Body Restoration Technician who takes pride in bringing vehicles back to life — any make, model, or era — the right way, panel by panel.
This is not a collision shop pushing volume repairs through the line. We specialize in true automotive restoration: the kind of craftsmanship that respects the history of a vehicle and the standards of the people who love them.
If you're looking for a shop where "good enough" is the ceiling — this isn't it. But if you take real pride in your metalwork, care about getting every line and gap right, and want to work on vehicles that matter to their owners, you'll fit right in.
What Makes Us Different
Our shop is built around precision, patience, and pride in the finished product. We don't cut corners, and we don't rush the process because a car deserves to be done right.
- TRUE RESTORATION MINDSET. Whether it's a daily driver, a family vehicle, or a special project, we treat every car as worth doing properly — not just a repair order.
- PRECISION OVER SPEED. We'd rather get it right than get it out the door fast.
- PRIDE IN THE DETAILS. Panel fit, metal finish, and paint prep are not optional steps — they're the job.
- RESPECT FOR THE CRAFT. We value technicians who see this as a trade to master, not just a job to clock into.
- HONEST, STRAIGHTFORWARD TEAMWORK. No egos, no shortcuts, no excuses — just people who back each other up.
What You'll Do
Lead the Metalwork. Perform body and panel restoration on all types of vehicles — from metal shaping and panel alignment to prepping surfaces for a flawless finish.
Own the Process. Work methodically through each stage of a restoration project, keeping quality and consistency at the center of everything you touch.
Bring Real Craftsmanship. Apply true bodywork skill — not just filler and paint — to bring vehicles back to their original form and beyond.
Collaborate with the Team. Communicate progress clearly, coordinate with painters and other technicians, and keep restoration projects moving forward with care.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in auto body work, with restoration experience strongly preferred
- Strong metal-shaping, panel-fitting, and surface-prep skills
- Painting and priming skills are a plus
- An eye for detail and a genuine pride in high-quality finished work
- Ability to work methodically on long-term, high-standard projects
- Reliable, professional, and accountable
- A team-first attitude — no egos, no shortcuts
- Someone who wants to grow their craft, not just punch a clockFinal Word
This role is for a technician who wants more than a repair shop job — someone who wants to master their craft, take pride in every vehicle they touch, and be part of a team that genuinely respects the work of restoration.
If you're skilled, detail-driven, and ready to do work that lasts — we want to meet you.
Apply today and become part of the Premier Restoration team.
