Company is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer. The successful candidate will work directly with our engineers, technicians and surveyors, as well as clients, to lead the development of design deliverables for a variety of projects in the industrial, commercial, retail, and residential markets for private industry or public agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable to the project Engineer of Record for coordination and preparation of design deliverables in accordance with the established technical standards, cost, and schedule.
• Perform engineering tasks, including calculations, plans, specifications and drawings.
• Provide field verification activities for construction projects.
• Coordinate resolution of field questions related to field change notices and design change notices.
  
  
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering methods and materials, applications of computer software to engineering problems to ensure the design is cost effective, in accordance with applicable safety, health, environmental regulations, customer requirements and engineering codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318.
• Must have working knowledge of engineering procedures, covering discipline deliverables, production and control, as well as organization and responsibilities for the Engineering Department.
• Knowledge of engineering discipline (Civil or Structural)
• Desire to utilize engineering skills concurrently in project management
• Experience in resolving complex technical problems and the ability to articulate explanations, is essential.
• Excellent listening, oral and written communication, planning and organizational skills are essential.
• Experience in AutoCad
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience.
• EIT registration
