We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role is essential in providing administrative support and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
*Responsibilities*
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Conduct insurance verification and ensure all necessary documentation is collected prior to appointments.
- Review care plans and maintain accurate patient files, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services and answering questions related to appointments or procedures.
- Assist with coding for medical records as needed, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Utilize Meditech software for patient management and documentation tasks.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies, and cleaning/preparing treatment rooms
*Requirements*
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and file management.
- Familiarity with Medicare processes and insurance verification protocols is advantageous.
- Proficient in using medical software systems, particularly Meditech or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
