Overview
Premier Regenerative Cell Institute is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Edinboro, PA.
Strong IV placement skills are essential for this position. IV therapy is a primary part of this role, and the RN will be responsible for establishing IV access for participants on a routine basis. We are looking for a nurse who is confident, experienced, and comfortable performing peripheral IV insertions throughout each shift.
Our nurses work alongside physicians and other nurses in a positive, collaborative regenerative medicine environment. This position also provides the opportunity to participate in research-related activities while helping provide an exceptional experience for every participant who comes through our clinic.
Responsibilities
- Perform peripheral IV insertions for participants receiving IV therapy
- Confidently and efficiently establish IV access on a routine basis
- Obtain and document blood pressure and other vital signs before and during IV therapy
- Monitor participants throughout IV therapy for changes in condition or potential reactions
- Maintain awareness of all participants within the treatment area
- Communicate any concerns or changes in participant condition to the appropriate physician or clinical team member
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow established safety, infection-control, and clinical protocols
- Assist with research-related activities and data collection when applicable
- Help maintain a professional, positive, and enjoyable environment for participants and staff
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong peripheral IV insertion experience required
- Must be confident and proficient in starting IVs, as IV placement is a routine and essential function of this position
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to obtain and accurately document vital signs
- Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to changes in a participant’s condition
- Strong patient-care and communication skills
- Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team
Previous experience in IV therapy, infusion nursing, emergency medicine, ICU, med-surg, outpatient infusion, oncology, or another IV-intensive clinical setting is preferred.
Pay: $36.51 - $43.97 per hour
Expected hours: 14.0 – 40.0 per week
