POSITION SUMMARY
The Night Warehouse Coordinator is a crucial part of our Night Warehouse Operations. They will work closely with Warehouse Supervisors, Managers and Operations Managers. These individuals are primarily responsible for compiling, recording, and preparing reports on various warehouse activities. Assist in the overall management of the warehouse operations including recommending process improvements, procedures, and plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates the shipping workflow and other warehouse operations.
- Collaborates with other departments, such as customer service and operations, to address issues and meet customer demand.
- Assign tasks and work orders to night selectors to facilitate the shipment of products to our customers.
- Responsible for performing inventory control functions
- Training of personnel in office operations and in warehouse operations
- Works with Management to ensure all QAC Accounts are QA’d for quality, quantity, and correctness.
- Assists in the shipping responsibilities of loading trucks
- Performs additional duties necessitated by job or as requested such as assisting with employee training, monitoring supplies, download temperature monitors, etc.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Prepare orders by selecting specific items for a customer order, staging them in a designated area of the warehouse; it may involve packing boxes or handling products to remove quality issues.
- Contributes to the Team Effort
- Works with Management on Process Improvements.
- Verify that QAC orders are selected, and products meet the standards set forth in QAC.
- Validate that the weights are correct, and customers are billed accordingly.
- Gather all the paperwork from the course of the night and place it in the appropriate places.
- Research products that selectors can’t find before customers are backordered.
- Communicate with Managers and other departments through email to resolve issues that prevent night selectors from selecting products.
Experience/Skills/Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry, inventory management, and other warehouse related tasks.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues
- Familiarity with warehouse terminology, procedures and safety regulations
- Heads-up attitude/approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-based environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines/requirements, including proper body mechanics.
- Dependable and punctual
- Previous warehouse experience (2-3 years)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat throughout an eight-hour shift. (plus overtime)
- Occasionally tear down a pallet which includes lifting cases and objects from and to heights ranging from floor to knee, waist, shoulder, and overhead ranging in weight from 10 to 45 pounds.
- Operations of warehouse equipment
- Use hand to finger dexterity to peel and stick labels, handle, or feel objects and or equipment controls, or reach with hands and arm.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures (0°F to 85°F).
- Ability to concentrate on details, accurately read from printed order lists, use of RF Scan guns and perform more than one task at a time.
