What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Warehouse Selector position at Premier Produce?
Job Summary
The selector position selects, pulls pallets and case orders on an electric pallet jack. Organizes the product by assignment, and loads on a designated route in a fast-paced team environment. No experience required, training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Selects orders assigned by operations clerk, and loads onto the proper route.
- Performs other job functions as assigned by supervisors
The job will include, but not be limited to:
- To accurately, consistently, and safely follow directions; involved in selecting orders, palletizing orders, and/or loading of trucks
- Working knowledge of how to operate Crown Pallet jacks, or similar
- Accurately pick, pack, palletize, wrap and tag orders
- Ability to select efficiently utilizing labels
- Ability to read and visually understand the products being selected
- Ability to build a proper pallet
- Hand stacking product in a specific sequence and location on a delivery truck
- Perform the cleaning and maintenance duties as may be directed by the warehouse supervisor
- Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as directed
- Observes safe product handling techniques. Cooperates with supervisors and peers alike
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good verbal communication skills
- No Selector experience required, training will be provided.
- Job frequently requires standing, handling objects with hands, standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting over 50 pounds
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties
- Perform in environments with temperatures ranging from -22 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Use repetitive motions, using upper and lower extremities, mount and dismount equipment
- Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; frequent interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than the immediate supervisor
