Role Description The Director of Business Development is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cullman, AL, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding Premier Power’s presence within the utility construction market. Day-to-day activities include developing and executing business plans, managing the sales pipeline, leading lead generation initiatives, and overseeing key client accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention. The Director will negotiate contracts, collaborate closely with operations and finance teams to align service offerings with customer needs, and provide regular reports on growth targets and market trends. This position is expected to model the company’s values, mentor team members involved in business development, and represent Premier Power at industry events and customer meetings.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, with a track record of driving sustainable revenue growth.
- Experience in Business Planning, including market analysis, forecasting, and strategic sales planning.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, with the ability to structure agreements that balance customer needs and company objectives.
- Account Management experience, including building long-term client relationships and overseeing key accounts.
- Demonstrated success in business development or sales leadership roles, preferably in utility, construction, or related industries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities, including CRM proficiency and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
