The instructor will also contribute to creating a motivating environment for clients of all skill levels, ensuring safe and effective workouts tailored to individual needs.
About Premier Pilates
At Premier Pilates, we believe in a deeply personalized, educational, and supportive approach to Pilates. Our studio specializes in private sessions and small-group reformer and mat classes, allowing us to give hands-on cues, individualized attention, and precise alignment feedback. We serve clients of all ages, fitness levels, and experience — from beginners to those recovering from injury — helping them build strength, improve posture, and develop a strong mind-body connection.
Duties
- Lead one-on-one private Pilates sessions (55-minute standard, and possibly 30-minute)
- Teach small-group reformer classes, capped at 4 students.
- Lead mat classes, with class sizes of up to 10
- Develop individualized programs based on clients’ goals, physical history, and capacity (including injury modifications — e.g., for back pain, mobility restrictions, etc.).
- Provide hands-on adjustments, verbal cueing, and educational insights on alignment and technique, ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Develop customized program plans incorporating principles of physiology, biomechanics, and anatomy knowledge.
- Foster a positive, peaceful environment that is supportive and encouraging, aligning with our “precision meets progress” philosophy.
- Maintain a professional, client-focused presence; help with client retention through strong relationships, clear communication, and consistent teaching quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workout environment, ensuring all equipment is properly used and stored.
- Demonstrate clear, professional communication with all clients and coworkers.
Requirements
- Certified Pilates Instructor with Comprehensive or Mat/Reformer Certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., Balanced Body, STOTT, Peak, BASI, Polestar). *If you have completed training but have not tested out yet, feel free to reach out and we can discuss student-teaching opportunities.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and Pilates principles.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to modify and challenge for a variety of populations (beginners, those with injuries or physical limitations, older adults, etc.).
- Experience designing private sessions and group classes tailored to individual needs and skill levels.
- Excellent cueing skills (both verbal and hands-on), with attention to detail.
- Passion for health and wellness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — patient, encouraging, and confident.
- Professionalism: punctual, reliable, well-organized.
What We Offer
