Premier Physicians is currently seeking a Full Time Medical Office Manager with 3-5 years management and medical field experience.
To be considered for this full time position you must have strong verbal and written communication skills, front and back office skills, and the ability to respond to patient concerns in a timely fashion. Administrative responsibilities to include billing, collections, prior authorization, and general administrative duties.
Position Title: Office Coordinator / Office Manager
Overview: Responsible for administering, coordinating, planning and directing all medical office activities and functions under the direction of the physician(s), and serves as liaison between office staff, physician(s), and corporate office.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates all office operations and functions, following established guidelines and corporate policies and practices.
- Reports routine and non-routine operational issues and concerns to corporate offices (e.g. Finance, Human Resources, Billing) for follow up, processing, or resolution.
- Interacts in a professional manner with patients, families, office staff, insurance companies, other physicians, and other relevant third parties as required.
- Performs receptionist, clerical, clinical, and administrative duties as required.
- Oversees office operations as they relate to supplies, payroll/timekeeping, OSHA and HIPPA documentation compliance and other office standards and practices.
- Ensures that office staff is properly trained and complying with company and office policies and procedures.
- Maintains and organizes patient and other office records, ensuring confidentiality.
- Manages work flow in offices to ensure efficient and effective operations and patient satisfaction.
- May be asked to perform other duties as may reasonably be necessary for effectively managing the office.
Experience / Education:
- High School diploma (or equivalent),
- Medical Assisting certificate from an accredited school, (Required)
- Minimum of 3-5 years medical Managerial office experience, (Required)
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, proficiency with computers, MS Office software, and standard office equipment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Medical terminology, coding, billing, and office procedures.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, for drafting reports and correspondence.
- Basic math and accounting skills.
- Skills to operate computers, printers. Fax machines, copiers, Dictaphones.
Abilities:
- Ability to input data and key accurately into computers utilizing standard and propriety software programs.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to file, sort, and organize files in numeric and alphabetic systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and concisely in a diplomatic manner.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and co-workers.

Environmental / Working Conditions / Physical Demands – This position is typical of those found in a medical office setting – an indoor environment with little or no exposure to extremes in temperature, noise, smells, etc. Work will require hand dexterity for operating office machines and computer keyboard. While performing the essential functions of the position, employees will be expected to see, sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Employees may be exposed to needles, sharps, hazardous chemicals as might be present in a medical office, as well as blood and other bodily fluids during the routine performance of duties. Employees will be trained in the proper handling and disposal of such materials, and expected to follow company and OSHA safety guidelines.
