Patient Care Coordinator / Technician:

We are a physical therapy practice that believes in providing exceptional care for our patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Office Assistant to provide clerical and hands on assistance/support to our patients. You will perform a variety of tasks on a daily basis including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, preparing and e-mailing correspondence, maintaining office cleanliness and filing. Other duties require you to assist the provider with patient care on the floor.

The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others and is willing to learn new skills. You have excellent communication skills and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You are able to work independently as well as part of a team. You are comfortable with technology including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in the gym alongside the provider with patients and ensuring they complete their plan of care
  • Assisting in setting up patients on e-stim, ultrasound, MIRE, etc. as needed (with training)
  • Wiping down all machines after use per patient

Learning the front desk skills which includes but is not limited to:

  • Answering phones and greeting patients; provide excellent customer service.
  • Prepare patient appointment confirmations and creating patient files
  • Arranging transportation and updating charts
  • Looking for someone who is actively on their feet and capable of keeping up with patients in the gym
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and order supplies; organize stock
  • Assist patients with individualized plan of care
  • Maintain office filing system; maintain office supplies inventory
  • Maintain medical records per HIPAA regulations (training provided)
  • Keep the reception area organized; maintain cleanliness of reception area (e.g., clean up mailboxes, remove trash, restock office supplies)

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience as a patient care technician
