Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent credential recognized in the United States.
- Experience assisting in dental or oral surgical procedures.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization techniques
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced dental or surgical practice environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments prior to procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use
- Assist dentists and oral surgeons during dental and surgical procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient positioning
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes and post-operative instructions
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions to promote optimal recovery and oral health
