Main Key Responsibilities
- Review purchase orders, and invoices ensuring that all amounts owed are accurate and properly documented.
- Record and process payments for vendor invoices in accordance with internal accounting policies.
- Keep the accounts payable ledger up to date to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with the research of any discrepancies in billings and payments.
- Utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years’ work-related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and applicable laws preferred.
- Must be efficient in MS Office suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, instant messaging, and internet navigation.
- Experience with Sage500 is a plus.
- Strong time management, negotiation, judgement, and problem-solving skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions.
- Flexibility to multitask and shift priorities when needed.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Requires extended periods of sitting/standing as well as repetitive movement.
