Temporary Medical Assistant Pediatrics

Premier Pediatrics is seeking an experienced medical assistant for an office based private practice located in Manhattan. Full time temporary position 40 hours per week. Possibility of permanent. ResponsibilitiesPerforming patient assessments.Performing and documenting patient intake (height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure, vision and hearing screening, reason for visit, chief complaint, etc.)Filling out medical forms including but not limited to school and day care forms.Monitoring and insuring good patient flow.Performing strep and flu tests, urinalysis, giving nebulizer treatments, finger stick blood draw, stool occult blood testing.Ensuring exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patients.Assisting with light housekeeping duties which include spills.Stocking exam rooms/treatment rooms with medical supplies, linen and designated chart forms.Other duties as assigned.SkillsHas Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDisplays sensitivity to the needs of patients, visitors and coworkers.Remains calm and continues to communicate effectively in stressful situations.Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.Has pediatric experienceIs a good multi-taskerThe position will include occasional coverage in our Manhattan office locationMUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND BE A CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT.Job Type: Full-timeCompany DescriptionAt Premier Pediatrics, we believe each child and every family is unique.
